Police have now confirmed that star Amber Portwood's missing fiancé Gary Wayt has spotted in New Mexico nearly 900 miles away from where he originally went missing. After Wayt got down on one knee to propose to the reality star just a few weeks ago, he mysteriously disappeared with no explanation. After skipping town without his phone, Amber grew concerned and filed a missing persons report with the police station.
According to the incident report obtained by , Amber reported to police that Wayt was last seen Sunday evening at their hotel. North Carolina police have since said to that while Wayt, 39, is still considered a missing person he was spotted traveling cross country in his car this week. Amber's husband-to-be was last spotted in New Mexico after previously being seen shopping inside of a Verizon store in Oklahoma.
This would've meant that Wayt travelled seven and a half hours since the last time he was seen. Wayt and his family have still issued no statement about his plans or whereabouts. After the investigation was launched over almost a week ago, North Carolina law enforcement released a statement that said: "We have information that he was in New Mexico at one point.
Gary will stay a missing person until he contacts Bryson City Police or contacts another law enforcement officer." Before Gary suddenly missing, he and his soon-to-be wife Amber were reportedly staying together at a VRBO cabin in Bryson City about 60 miles west of Asheville, North Carolina accordin.
