PLAYSTATION held its State of Play showcase last night, announcing a number of new games coming to PS5, PS VR2 and PC this year. The upcoming game will span six galaxies and over 80 levels, featuring a variety of biomes and nods to other PlayStation games. An announcement trailer for the game was shown off at last night’s State of Play . The trailer featured familiar platforming gameplay with new twists, bosses and environments.
The upcoming game will add more than 15 new abilities for Astro and over 70 new types of enemies. The trailer also revealed that Astro Bot will release on September 6, 2024 , with pre-orders opening in a week. Astro’s last appearance in a game was in 2020, which instantly turned him into the symbol of PS5 that players recognise today.
