WEST FARGO — It was overcast on the opening day of the Red River Valley Fair on Friday, June 28, 2024. Heavy rains the previous night left the grounds muddy, but the show must go on, and opening day was met with the first wave of crowds enjoying the midway, fair food, and lots of young people preparing their animals for the upcoming 4H livestock shows. Friday evening the Goo Goo Dolls kick off this year's entertainment, as the fair stretches across three weekends this year for the first time .
