Pat Sajak ’s final episode as the host of Wheel of Fortune hasn’t yet aired–but he’s already moving forward with his next project, and it’s a change from the career fans know him for. With fans officially tuning in now for his official final week–complete with tearful moments with co-host Vanna White –they have been left wondering what his retirement plan looks like. While he has hinted at his hopes to become a grandfather, overall fans have been left in the dark about what the 77-year-old could be doing next.

As it turns out, he has already lined up his first gig–and it will be very different from his days as a TV game show host. According to Variety, Sajak’s newest project will see him hit the theatrical stage as he takes on a starring role in the play Prescription: Murder.



The publication reports that Sajak will team up with KHON-TV Hawaii newscaster and anchor Joe Moore in the project. The play will run at downtown Honolulu’s Hawaii theatre from July 31 to August 10, 2025. Sajak will play “brilliant psychiatrist Roy Flemming, who hatches a plot with a perfect alibi to murder his neurotic and possessive wife,” while Moore will play Lt.
