The summer holidays are just around the corner, with lots of Brits gearing up to travel abroad in search of sun and relaxation. Yet, trips are sometimes ruined by stressful sunbed wars, with holidaymakers having to rush to reserve their spot by the pool. Holiday provider On the Beach is solving the sunbed drought by offering customers a guaranteed spot around the pool.
Two thirds of Brits say that they suffer from sunbed anxiety when they’re on holiday. Around half of the population are worried about the upcoming battles over pool loungers. On the Beach have released their top five hotels that are part of the new scheme meaning holidaymakers can guarantee they will get a sunbed.
The Lyttos Beach Hotel in Crete has 3,500 sunbeds, and with a capacity of 2,150 guests, everyone staying at the hotel will be able to get their hands on a lounger. Holidaymakers can skip the early morning dash to secure somewhere to sit, as the Greek hotel has 1.63 sunbeds available per guest.
Guests at this hotel will also have a comfortable, relaxing time, with their sunbeds coming with a Silentnight mattress topper. Helpful, as 52 per cent of Brits haven’t had a comfy sleep on a sunbed. Visitors also won’t have to worry about reserving sunbeds at the Akti ImiJerial Deluxe and the Lindos Imperial hotels in Rhodes, both of which make more sunbeds than guests.
