The Liverpudlian singer, 41, was part of the girl group between 1999 and 2003 with the likes of Kerry Katona (who left in 2001), Liz McClarnon, and Jenny Frost. Atomic Kitten scored three UK number one singles – most famous of those was Whole Again – and achieved two UK number one albums in the early 2000s.
Their success might have been brief but they left a mark on the pop music of the decade – despite that, Natasha said she still fell out of love with the music industry. Appearing on Friday’s This Morning, she said: ‘I’ve never been solo. Life takes over, I’ve had five kids and I fell out of love with music, but I found my way back.
’ Natasha did release one solo single in 2010, titled Mrs. Emotional, and she performed vocals on the 2007 single Round & Round by Dutch DJ Mischa Daniels. After a few years away, she said she’s ready to come back to pop music: ‘It would have been a big regret if I hadn’t returned to music, it was an itch that needed itching.
’ When asked about her life immediately after Atomic Kitten, she revealed: ‘I was traumatised. I’d had five intense years with Atomic Kitten and when that came to an end, it was really abrupt. I wasn’t too wasn’t too well at the time.
