Nintendo has announced an official Joy-Con charging stand for the Nintendo Switch, which arrives seven-and-a half years after the console launched. The Joy-Con Charging Stand (Two-Way) was announced on X/Twitter, below, and lets you charge two Joy-Cons at the same time without the need to attach them to the Switch itself. Nintendo said the charging stand is recommended for those want to charge Joy-Cons that are not in use when you're playing in portable mode.

The charger is available October 17, 2024, and is also compatible with the Switch's Nintendo Entertainment System controllers. It works by attaching Joy-Cons to either side like the grip accessory without the, well, grip, with a USB-C cable plugging into the top to charge the controllers.
