A nineties dance legend has opened up about some of her favourite celebrity moments of all time. The former lead singer Livin Joy, known for their belter track Dreamer, spoke exclusively to the Daily Star ahead of performing twice at London Pride this weekend, at the Golden Square and Trafalgar Square stages. Janice opened up about when she met Robert De Niro when she was younger and said he "liked that she spoke Italian".

She told us: "Back in the day I did get to have dinner with Robert De Niro when I was like 23 he was filming Bronx Tales and, you know, dinner with Robert De Niro is probably one of my favourite stories. "It was dinner with friends and us getting introduced to each other. But I was I was too young and I had a boyfriend.



But he did like me and he liked that I spoke Italian. It was a great meeting and it had potential but I was too young. But I enjoyed the dinner.

"He had my phone number and I had his phone number." Janice also mentioned how thrilled she was to be performing at London's Pride weekend. She said: "I am beyond excited.

London, England, the UK has put this song Dreamer in such an iconic space. And in the back of my mind, I was like, 'God, I wish I used my name'. But you know what, everything happens for a reason.

"I always tell people, the journey that Dreamer had, is not the journey that I had. I did get to do shows, and I got to travel, don't get me wrong. But there came a point in my life where I wanted to just be Janice Robinson.
