When you're married , there are some things that you have to compromise on - and mealtimes are often one of them. Your spouse may not always be cooking you the meal of your dreams, but you'll be grateful that they've gone to any effort for you, as balancing work and general life can be really tough. But one woman's "fussy" husband was less than impressed with the meal she made for him one night, saying that "He moaned and moaned and stared at it, pushing it round his plate, for ages", rather than appreciating it and tucking into the hearty meal .

Taking to Mumsnet , she explained what her husband likes to eat, and where their tastes differ, writing: "My husband likes gravy dinners. He likes potatoes and veg, with a piece of meat or fish. A Sunday roast is his favourite.

But he's really not keen on any other sort of pasta, stir-fries, noodles, etc or anything 'mixed up'. (Though he eats stew, chilli - with chunky beef - and even soup)! "I prefer things like lasagne, spagbol, mince and spuds, corned beef hash, pasta bake, risotto, shepherd's pie etc. But do also enjoy gravy dinners from to time, but not 7 nights a week.
