HOME messes are no match for one cleaning guru. Her tips for tackling grease and grime are both easy and affordable. Hallie Gray, a home expert from Home Detail , has shared how to keep your space sparkling with her DIY cleaning tricks.

Perhaps the best part is that you most likely already have some - or all - of the ingredients in your kitchen cabinets. She is certainly a fan of one standout product. "Vinegar is a cleaning superstar.

Its acidic nature makes it perfect for tackling grease, grime, and bacteria," she said. Gray explained how you can incorporate the vinegar into your own all-purpose cleaner by mixing it with water in a spray bottle. And voila - your vinegar concoction will now work on everything from sinks to countertops, and even glass surfaces.

She also shared another pro tip, saying you should leave a bowl of vinegar in any area you want to dissipate odors. Heating vinegar can even help to dissolve limescale buildup. Gray is also a fan of using baking soda as a natural cleaner.

Target sells Good and Gather white distilled vinegar for $4.29. She explained that it is a non-abrasive product that offers powerful stain removal capabilities so you can scrub without having to worry about scratching surfaces.

"Sprinkle baking soda on your carpets, let it sit for 15 minutes, and then vacuum. It helps to absorb odors and leave your carpets smelling fresh," she said. It can also be used inside the oven, and it even cleans clothes.
