The month of June has brought the opportunity for the LGBTQIA+ community to take pride in their identity. And thanks to the collaboration between Tinder and Gaysi Family, community members had a blast in their safe space offered at the recently concluded Queer Made Weekend festivals. The one-of-a-kind pride festivals curated by Tinder and Gaysi Family were organised in Mumbai (June 8) and Delhi (June 15, 16) allowing folx on the spectrum to come together, celebrate their identities and overcome the taboo.
Mashable India got in touch with the organising parties who explained the motive behind their festivals and how they are breaking the stigma around being queer. Tejaswi Subramanian, Gaysi Digital Editor, explained that the Queer Made Weekend is aimed at providing "a safe space where everyone can be their authentic selves." " The festivals had stalls, music, food and drinks for the visitors as well as enthralling performances by guests including Sushant Divgikar in Mumbai.
