Mukesh Khanna’s latest statement over Prabhas-Deepika starrer desi sci-fi Kalki 2898 has stirred another controversy’s pot. The much-revered Bhisma Pitamah from India’s cult telly classic Mahabarata, Mukesh Khanna suggested that the movie is beyond the intellect of certain sections of the society chiefly the audience in Odisha and Bihar. His earlier jibe about the movie distorting the Indian epic made headlines.

The veteran had issues with the makers removing the gem from Ashwathhama’s forehead, dialogues of lord Krishna, among others. India’s home-grown superhero Shaktimaan liked the magnum opus nonetheless, claiming it is meant for a more western audience aka the hollywood. In his YouTube review he added that audiences in Odisha and Bihar are not going to like the filmmaking.

Says Is Made For Intelligent People: ' , Audiences Won't Understand' — Free Press Journal (@fpjindia) Fir kya tha? Bawaal on social media, with netizens slamming Mukesh Khanna for his distasteful review, with hilarious memes, including “Sorry Shaktimaan.” For the unversed, during his Shaktimaan show, Mukesh Khanna introduced a post-show segment called ‘Chhoti Chhoti Magar Moti Baatien’ (small but significant lessons) to educate children about the various vices in society.
