MTV's Real World star , her family have confirmed. reportedly died early last week at her home in Illinois. She had moved to the area in order to care for family last year and was planning a move back to California.
She had been caring for unwell mother and sister and was struggling with her mental health. She then had a skateboarding accident which placed further strain on her wellbeing. Sarah rose to fame while starring in season five of The Real World in Miami in 1996.
At the time Sarah was 25-years-old and worked in a comic book store, close to where she lived in La Jolla, California. A memorable moment for fans came when in the 13th episode of season five she brought a puppy back to the house. Season five also saw cast members given a task for the first time, which came in the form of starting a business on a $50k budget.
While the cast battled it out all season to try and make the venture a success they failed to get organised and a series of conflicts saw them crash and burn on their plans. Sarah previously opened up about her time starring on The Real World in a chat with the back in 1997. At the time she said of the experience: "For me, The Real World was a six-month long vacation, I knew from the get-go that it couldn’t be a steppingstone to bigger and better things.
She confessed her dream of having her own magazine one day at the time - and that she knew her stint on the show wasn't going to get her that. She added: “I want my own magazine some day, and I don�.
