Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday ended the two-day long meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu. He arrived on Thursday to embark on a 45-hour long meditation session at the famed Vivekananda Rock Memorial. He arrived from nearby Thiruvananthapuram and first worshiped at the Bhagavathi Amman temple and later reached Vivekananda Rock Memorial for performing meditation for nearly two days.
Modi came to Rock Memorial, a monument built in tribute to Swami Vivekananda after wrapping up the Lok Sabha polls campaign on Thursday. As many as 2,000 police personnel were deployed during Modi’s visit, even as the Indian Coast Guard and Indian Navy also maintained tight vigil. Modi had undertaken a similar exercise in a Kedarnath cave after the 2019 poll campaign.
