Miriam Margolyes has blasted Lily Allen as 'unfriendly' and said she was the one celebrity she didn't get on with as she recalled their past encounter on The Graham Norton Show. The Harry Potter actress, 83, has been a regular on the hit BBC One chat show over the years and over the weekend she opened up about her worst experience from sitting on the red sofa. During the Hay Festival over the weekend, Miriam was asked which celebrities she dislikes by author Philippe Sands.

This prompted Miriam to recall the time she appeared on The Graham Norton Show back in 2014 with Lily, 39, and Dominic Cooper. The actress said of singer Lily: "She thought when she was on the programme that it was all about her." Miriam added: "She thought: 'Who is this woman? Miriam who?' She wasn’t friendly and I didn’t like that and so I showed my dislike, which wasn’t very nice of me because she was much younger than me and I should have just taught her how to behave.



" The awkward moment in question saw host, Graham Norton, ask Miriam about her commercial work, asking: "Miriam, when you are in an ad, do you voice an opinion on the ad?" to which Miriam replied: "Yes, always!" with Graham asking: "Do they welcome that opinion?" Miriam then responded: "No...

but I mean, I know better than they do, that is the truth. I'm experienced and I need to help them sometimes. The grammar is often bad" to which she looked over at Lily, this prompted a laughing and awkward Lily to respond: "She really doesn't .
