MICHAEL Mosley fans have broken down in tears over the TV doctor's final interview. The health guru , 67, died on the Greek island of Symi last Wednesday after getting lost on a walk in 40C heat. Dr Mosley - known for popularising the 5:2 diet - was heard speaking today on Radio 4 in his final interview, How to Live a Good Life, with Professor Paul Bloom.
"I didn't know it would be the last time I would see him," said radio host and close friend Chris van Tulleken, who introduced the show. The programme was aired as part of a tribute to the TV doctor, called There's Only One Michael Mosley. In it he discussed the secret to having a "good life".
Dr Mosley had recorded a special edition of Just One Thing, where he regularly shared tips to improve your health, at the Hay Festival on May 25 with Professor Paul Bloom. Fellow doctor Chris worked alongside him as part of the BBC's Trust Me, I'm A Doctor series. Paying tribute to Dr Moseley, Chris said in an introduction to the show: "What you're about to hear was recorded a few minutes before I met up with Michael at the Hay Festival and what I didn't know was that it would be the last time I ever saw him.
Because two weeks later he died on holiday with his wife in Greece. "As you're listening to Michael, I want you to reflect on his style - dryly witty, modest, humble. "This style disguises that he is one of the most important broadcasters of recent decades.
"Before Michael, doctors in white coats told you how to live from their iv.
