Michael Jackson's former pet chimpanzee, Bubbles, is living a life of luxury at the Center for Great Apes in Wauchula, Florida. The 41 year old primate, who weighs 180lbs, enjoys exploring tunnels, building nests under trees, taking daily naps, and even painting. The sanctuary's director, Patti Ragan, told TMZ that Bubbles shows no signs of past abuse and is a happy, friendly chimp who interacts positively with visitors and other animals. He has also formed strong relationships with fellow chimps Oopsie, Boma, Ripley, Kodua, and Stryker. The sanctuary often plays music and videos for the chimps, including some of Michael Jackson's biggest hits.



However, Bubbles apparently shows no preference for MJ's songs over any of the others he has been played during his stay. Perhaps indicating that his time as the pop star's close companion has faded into the past for him as he has aged. DON'T MISS.
