Eager to take up the challenge we kicked off our weekend adventure in London, with the iconic London Eye. Built to celebrate the year 2000, this mammoth observation wheel has become a staple of the city’s skyline. It’s the highest cantilevered observation wheel in the world, and from the moment you step into one of the spacious, oval pods, you’re in for a treat.

Madame Tussauds at Baker Street is included in the multi-attraction offer (Image: Merlin Entertainments) As the wheel gracefully lifts you 135 meters above the ground, you’re greeted with panoramic views of the Thames and the cityscape. On a clear day, like the last bank holiday weekend, you could see Crystal Palace. The 45-minute rotation is smooth and perfect for all ages.

Even those wary of heights might find themselves captivated by the sweeping vistas. The London Eye is fully wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can enjoy the ride. And once you’re back on solid ground, why not explore the nearby Sea Life London Aquarium? With so much to see and do, this is a must-visit on any London bucket list.

Just a short stroll from the Eye, at the Sea Life London Aquarium you’re transported into an underwater wonderland that’s home to thousands of marine creatures. As you enter over a glass window peeking into the Pacific waters, you’re led through a mesmerising array of exhibits. From the ominous Shark Walk to the colorful Coral Reef, every turn reveals a new aquatic delight.

Highlights include the Ocean.
