Meghan Trainor once took "too many edibles" and almost landed in the hospital. On the July 8 episode of the Armchair Expert podcast with Dax Shepard and Monica Padman , the 30-year-old "Me Too" singer opened up about a terrifying experience she had while awaiting vocal cord surgery. Trainor -- who started singing at the age of 6 -- was advised by her doctor not to use her voice in the months leading up to the procedure, which caused her to turn to cannabis in the edible form to cope.
"She's like, 'I'm going to put you with this vocal coach and do these warm-ups -- I need you to be quiet,'" Trainor shared of her team's advice. "For four months, I did that. Then I ate too many edibles while doing that and I lost my mind and then panic disorder started, then I had panic attacks.
