The 19-year-old, known for her role on the Hallmark series "When Calls the Heart," remains hospitalized but is making progress, according to posts on her official Facebook page. That same day, Rockmann told the Los Angeles Times her daughter "opened her eyes" for the first time since the May 26 fall. "Let's just hope this is the turnaround and she's going to get through this now. I couldn't be happier that people reached out and cared," Rockmann said.
She said Mamie was in "tremendous pain" with her body "shattered" but was "aware" and could squeeze her hand, though sedated as she recovered. In a GoFundMe update, Rockmann, Mamie's father John Laverock and stepfather Rob Compton said she "has undergone two 11-hour surgeries with two doctors working on her, a three hour surgery and another surgery today."
