The Low Pressure Area (LPA), which PAGASA continues to monitor, is at 145 kilometers west northwest of Butuan City, Agusan del Norte or over the coastal waters of Garcia Hernandez, Bohol early Tuesday morning. Eastern Visayas, Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, and Agusan del Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the LPA with flash floods or landslides possibly occurring due to moderate to at times heavy rains. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms. PAGASA said the heat index in Metro Manila will be between extreme caution and danger level at 42 degrees Celsius at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), Pasay City station and 41 degrees Celsius at the Science Garden in Quezon City. The temperate for Heat Index classified as Extreme caution level is between 33°C and 41°C while danger level is 42°C to 51°C.

The public was advised to take precaution against heat cramps, heat exhaustion and heat stroke. The heat index is a measure of how hot it really feels when factoring in the relative humidity at a given location. In order to prevent heat-related illnesses, the weather bureau advised the public to do the following: Limit the time spent outdoors.

Drink plenty of water. Avoid tea, coffee, soda or liquor. Wear umbrellas, hats, and sleeved cloth.
