It's been revealed that some of this year's Love Islanders have left behind lucrative careers for a summer of romance. Among the new batch of sun-kissed singletons who entered the villa on Monday night are an accounts manager, a mental health nurse and even a semi-professional footballer. Then, of course, there's Joey Essex, who left ITV viewers' jaws on the floor when he arrived at the Spanish villa as a surprise bombshell.

Needless to say, an appearance on Love Island could open doors to massive career opportunities for some of these stars. Take Molly-Mae Hague, for example, who now has an impressive net worth of £6million following her appearance on the show in 2019. He plans to use his hairdressing skills to attract the ladies in the villa.

"It definitely has to come out, the hairdressing skills. I'm definitely going to use it to my advantage!" he told the Mirror and other media outlets. Harriett Blackmore, a personal shopper to the stars and best friend of Strictly Come Dancing's Saffron Barker, could be earning a large sum.
