More info Lorraine Kelly was left flustered while speaking to footy fans in Munich as her beloved Scotland team took to the pitch to take on Germany in the Euro 2024 opener. With Lorraine out of the country for her new role as a sports correspondent, Ranvir Singh stepped in to keep the show running in her absence. Things took a briefly awkward turn when the Scottish daytime TV presenter called a pundit by the wrong name.
Enthusiastically introducing the segment where the ITV presenter spoke to revellers who travelled to Germany for the match, he said: "Lorraine's fans have been well-behaved so far, unleash them, unleash them on us now, go." The camera then switched to Munich where Lorraine was seen surrounded by a group of enthusiastic supporters who had travelled 824 miles - using various modes of transport - to support their nation, reports the Express . "Well, as you know, we were talking about Craig's journey," Lorraine mentioned, referring to Craig Ferguson, 20, who embarked on the incredible 1000-mile trip from Hampden Stadium last month.
"Where's Callum?" Lorraine called out to the crowd before being corrected by Callum, whose actual name was Connor. The crowd burst into laughter as they teased and made fun of Lorraine's mistake, leaving her blus.
