Miriam Margolyes swears during Loose Women appearance Loose Women broke into chaos during Thursday's episode of the ITV daytime (July 4) show as Miriam Margolyes swore live on air. The former Call the Midwife star, 83, was promoting her new book titled 'Oh Miriam' as she spoke to host Kaye Adams, Denise Welch, Olivia Attwood- Dack and Nadia Sawalha. When asked why she has decided to release her book, Miriam confessed: "Because they paid me", as the live audience and panelists broke out into laughter.

Kaye then asked: "Can they pay you to do anything Miriam?" but as the actress replied her unsavory words were beeped out. The panelists then broke out into giggles as Denise covered her mouth in shock and Kaye shook her head. Through her chuckling, Miriam added: "Am I allowed to say that, oh dear?" before adding: "I wouldn't eat faeces.

Nadia then tried to ask the author another question but her words got jumbled up as she was amused by Miriam, but tried to compose herself. Miriam later made another confession about her book, which is based on her own tales and adventures, explaining it had to be censored by a legal team.

"It had to be excised by the legal people", she added, "I said things about people I didn't like that could be lib.
