Five people have been arrested by police investigating a shooting which left a young man with serious injuries. The Bolton News reported this week that police were called to an address in Little Hulton on Sunday at 9.30pm after reports of a firearm discharge at a property , which left a 20-year-old with serious injuries to his shoulder.
Police remained on the scene throughout Monday with a cordon still in place. Detectives in Salford’s Crime Investigation Department say they are continuing their enquiries and are working their way through a' lengthy and complex investigation'. Detective Chief Inspector Gareth Humphreys of GMP’s Salford district, said: “It is extremely lucky that the victim didn’t sustain more serious injuries after the firearms discharge on Aspinall Crescent.
“We share the concern of our local residents who are rightly alarmed by the incident on Sunday, I want to reassure you that we have robust uniformed patrols in place in the area whilst we investigate. “If you have any concerns, or want to speak to them, please do not hesitate; they are there for you. “This type of behaviour is unacceptable, and I would like to remind people that they cannot just take the law into their own hands.
Regardless of where you live, if a crime is committed in Greater Manchester, we will use all resources available to track you down.” Read more : Two arrested after horror shooting Arrests after police step up patrol in response to anti-social behaviour Police giv.
