Italian singer Andrea Bocelli is set to perform in South Africa in 2025 for his 30th anniversary tour. Bocelli will be accompanied by a guest artist, a soprano, a 60-piece choir, and a 69-piece orchestra, said a press release. The shows will feature the Symphony Choir of Johannesburg, the Johannesburg Festival Orchestra, the Philharmonia Choir of Cape Town and the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra.
Tickets for the shows go on sale at 09:00 on 24 May through Ticketmaster . The Discovery Bank pre-sale begins at 09:00 on 22 May. Bocelli is considered one of the most famous and successful classical singers working today.
He has sold over 90 million records and achieved initial fame in 1994 by winning the Sanremo Music Festival. He has performed for popes, the British royal family, politicians from different countries and has appeared at Olympic Games ceremonies. He dropped his latest studio album, Believe , in 2020, but has made other types of releases since then.
