A licence has been granted for a live entertainment venue at Cleethorpes North Promenade. The Warehouse will be at the former Wonderland market site. Because of representations by several local residents and a ward councillor, the decision went to a meeting of North East Lincolnshire Council's licensing sub-committee.
It was decided to grant the licence, subject to Humberside Police and council environmental protection team conditions. The main concern of residents centred around noise, and were supported by Sidney Sussex Ward Councillor Sophia Farren. The applicant for the new licence, Roadside Attractions Ltd, was not in any way involved with this event. The Warehouse will potentially host live music, comedy, boxing and wrestling, and dancing. It will be able to stay open until 11.
30pm, Sunday to Thursday, and to midnight on Fridays and Saturdays. Management will be able to apply for three events per year that could stay open until 1.30am.
