Set in the world of the modern-day oil industry, Hollywood star Billy Bob Thornton will lead the 10-part series as West Texas crisis manager Tommy Norris.

A synopsis reads: “Based on the notable 11-part podcast Boomtown from Imperative Entertainment and Texas Monthly, the series is an upstairs/downstairs story of roughnecks and wildcat billionaires fueling a boom so big, it’s reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics.” The series will be a must-watch for fans of Taylor’s hit Kevin Costner -starring drama, as well as his other projects such as Tulsa King, Mayor of Kingstown and Special Ops: Lioness.
