The Kyle & Jackie O Show was beaten by their Melbourne rivals, Nova's Jase and Lauren, who were axed by KIIS FM last year to make way for the Sydney-based hosts. During Wednesday morning's segment, the 53-year-old weighed in on the results and their show's progression after they were asked to appear on Channel Ten's The Project on Tuesday.
Kyle explained that despite the results, the Kyle & Jackie O Show is slowly gaining momentum in the Victorian capital. 'I heard we were invited on The Project last night to talk about the Melbourne ratings, because not much happened for us in Melbourne,' Kyle began. 'We gained another 50,000 people, but apparently that wasn't good enough.
' He added: 'It's a slow burn, you know, not everyone wants to hear about dildos and a**e-licking. 'If we're going to do any interviews, we'll be doing it on a high rating show, not some piece of s**t like The Project.'
