Rarawai FSC Kindergarten in Ba held a costume parade celebrating Early Childhood Education and Care (ECE) Week in style on Monday. With the theme ‘Igniting Creativity and Innovation in the Early Years,’ 26 students lit up the day dressed up in career costumes already setting their sights on future aspirations. The aim of the celebration was to inspire early childhood educators, promote career pathways, and champion equity.

Ba Police Station officer, acting corporal Vipendharan was chief guest for the ECE week celebration. He reminded parents of their vital responsibilities to their children and emphasised on students’ safety. “Good to see parents present, you take the best responsibility towards your children, they are very important to us,” he said.



“Children you are our tomorrow, your safety is our number one priority — remember these rules, don’t accept things from strangers, don’t climb fences which will cause injury, don’t walk out of your yard, don’t play with fire and never allow anyone to touch your bodies,” acting Cpl Vipendharan said. Highlighting important points on ECE, teacher-in-charge, Vasemaca Nabuta, said ECE was a time of great opportunity for learning and development. “In these early years, children learn through loving, trusting, respectful relationships and through discussion, exploration, and play.

” The day was filled with fun and entertainment, including performances and discussions on career topics where children enthusiasti.
