In July 2020, Perry and her fiancé Orlando Bloom bought a mansion valued at $15 million from 84-year-old multimillionaire Carl Westcott , the founder of 1-800-FLOWERS. Shortly after, Westcott attempted to rescind the deal via a lawsuit , claiming that he was mentally incapacitated when he sold the property. In November 2023, a Los Angeles judge Joseph Lipner ruled that Westcott was indeed in sound mind when he made the deal.



"Wescott's primary trial evidence on lack of capacity was the analysis and testimony of his retained expert, which the Court did not find credible or persuasive," Lipner said in his decision. Lipner was referring to Dr. Gary Small, a psychiatrist who confirmed that Westcott had Huntington’s disease, but had never met the entrepreneur.
