Kate Beckinsale made a statement with a defiant message on swimwear that she modelled in a series of photos this week, after having hit out at her critics just days earlier. The actor, 50, took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday to share snaps of herself showcasing a few outfits whilst she soaked up the sun. They included a black swimsuit that had silver letting on it which read: "I did not ask your opinion.

" She was seen modelling the outfit in a couple of photos and some videos that she shared with fans on the platform. She accompanied it with a pair of wedge heels, as well as having accessorised with an oversized brown hat and sunglasses. Kate also rocked a white bikini set, which she accompanied with a sheer pink dressing gown.



She had accessorised that look with a different pair of sunglasses, a headband and white footwear. It comes after Kate - who's starred in films like Pearl Harbor (2001) and Van Helsing (2004) - hit out at critics earlier this month in a post over the suggestion that she doesn't wear "enough age-appropriate things". She wrote in the caption: "Let's have a toast to the douchebags.

Let's have a toast for the a**holes. Let's have a toast for the scumbags." She then addressed replies about her appearance and health in the comments section.

She sparked concern in March with photos that showed her in hospital , before sharing more just weeks later . They seemed to subsequently be deleted and she appeared to have remained in hospital for almost a month . Ka.
