Kabir Khan on not directing Babbar Sher with Salman Khan and future collaboration with Katrina Kaif

Earlier this year, speculation was rife about Kabir Khan and Salman Khan teaming up for the fourth time for a film titled Babbar Sher. Reports suggested that Kabir would direct the superstar in this ambitious project following their previous collaborations in Ek Tha Tiger, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and Tubelight. However, in an interview with News18 Showsha, Kabir Khan debunked these rumours. “These are all conjectures in the market (laughs). There’s no Babbar Sher right now,” he clarified, putting an end to the speculations.Collaborating with Katrina KaifFans eagerly hoped for a Salman-Katrina reunion in Kabir's next project, but the filmmaker is in no rush. Kabir expressed his desire to work with Katrina Kaif again but emphasized the importance of having the right script. “Katrina is somebody I’ve collaborated with on many films. I would love to work with her again. But it’s all about the script and creating material that’s good enough for me to take to her. Only if I’m excited about it will she be excited about it. Whenever that happens, I would love to reunite with her. There’s absolutely no doubt that if there’s suitable material, we’ll surely work again,” he said.Kartik Aaryan shines in Chandu ChampionKabir Khan is currently enjoying the rave reviews for Chandu Champion. He praised Kartik Aaryan's dedication and hard work in portraying the title character. “The hard work an actor puts into a film is very apparent, you can’t fake that. As a director, I speak to so many of my fellow directors and they all reacted to the hard work that Kartik has put in. He went into it with so much conviction and cut himself off from everything except for the world of Chandu Champion,” Kabir lauded.A bright future for Kartik AaryanKabir Khan predicts a promising future for Kartik Aaryan, acknowledging his commitment to his craft. “Sometimes you may have a daunting character and you wonder as a director if the actor will be able to give it his all. But when you see this film, you’ll realize that his honesty comes across strongly. As a director, that’s what we’re looking for. We’re looking for an actor who’s ready to go that extra mile for the character,” he stated, forecasting that Kartik will soon become one of the most sought-after actors.Reflecting on directorial worksReflecting on his directorial journey, Kabir shared that he remains proud of his latest film. Following the release of his last directorial, 83, Kabir had declared it his favorite work. When asked if his opinion has changed after Chandu Champion, he responded, “It’s too early to say that (laughs). There are so many films I’ve done... At this point, Chandu Champion is a film I’m very proud of. ‘Favourite’ is a very difficult term. It’s like picking one child out of so many children and that’s unfair. It’s a film that’s making me overwhelmed because of all the love I’m getting.
