Justin Timberlake has spoken about his drink driving arrest for the first time as he resumed his world Tour . The 43-year-old was arrested for driving while intoxicated early on Tuesday morning. He reportedly ran a stop sign and was seen "swerving" as he drove to his residence after hanging out with friends at the Sag Harbor hotel in New York .

Justin briefly opened up about the arrest as he spoke to fans at the United Centre Stadium in Chicago, where he performed as part of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour . He later told the crowd they have all faced "ups-and-downs and lefts-and-rights". Friday's concert was the first one since Justin was arrested in The Hamptons.

He's set to return to New York for a two-night stop at Madison Square Garden on June 25 and June 26. He will then visit places such as Boston, Baltimore and Cleveland. The tour is set to end on December 20 in Kansas City.

Friday's concert comes after Justin's lawyer spoke out about the singer driving while intoxicated. Edward Burke Jr said he looks "forward" to defending Justin in court. The singer's court date is set for July 26.

His lawyer told TMZ : [We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timbe.
