Well the time has come — as I knew it would — that I need to really start sorting through my goodies and make better decisions as to what I should keep. There will be things I need to sell and say “bye bye” forever. How do you really start to do that very thing? One way is to have a big auction.
Another way is to have a yard or sizing down sale. A third method is to start drawing straws — what should I keep a little bit longer or what should I really do to make it easier on everyone else some day. My treasures are very special to me, but others say my treasures just take up space.
It’s a tough decision for me, because each item of any worth was purchased in my many years of traveling. Many were purchased with my dear friend Bonnie, who would ride shotgun for me and she would always find something that fit with her stoneware collection. She could keep her treasures while I was supposed to sell mine and make a bit more.
But usually I would find something special that I just had to keep. When we are looking for inventory for our shop or booth or “both,” then it takes some serious thought. As time approaches for liquidating my larger or major part of my crop of goodies, I really need to get busy.
Watch the ads down the road — but all of my items won’t be let go easily. There will be a few tears attached to some of it, for sure! Everyone has certain special items we want to keep and this old girl kind of carried it a little too far. The best part of this whole .
