Riley Keough ’s measures to prevent the sale of her late grandfather ’s estate just took a step in a promising direction. On Wednesday, judge JoeDae L. Jenkins of Shelby County, Tennessee , stalled the foreclosure of Graceland amidst Keough’s lawsuit .

The judge cited “public interest” as a reason behind his ruling. “Graceland is a part of this community , well loved by this community and, indeed, around the world," he said.
A company called Naussany Investments and Private Lending claimed that Lisa Marie Presley , Keough’s mother and Elvis Presley’s only child, took out a $3.8 million loan using Graceland as collateral in 2018, and she failed to repay the amount before her death in 2023. However, Keough fired back at the auction, asserting that Naussany Investments forged her late mother’s signatures, and that Lisa Marie never borrowed money from the company.
