Josh Brolin has joined the cast of 'Knives Out 3'. The 56-year-old star has boarded a starry ensemble that includes Andrew Scott, Kerry Washington, Glenn Close, Josh O’Connor, Cailee Spaeny, Jeremy Renner, Mila Kunis and Daryl McCormack. Rian Johnson is once again writing and directing while Daniel Craig is reprising his role as detective Benoit Blanc in the murder mystery flick that is titled 'Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery'.
Plot details and character information are yet to be revealed although the story is expected to be similar to the previous 'Knives Out' movies that featured Craig's sleuth solving a murder while surrounded by a host of colourful characters. Brolin has previous experience in major franchises after playing the villain Thanos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and appearing in both 'Dune' flicks in the role of Gurney Halleck.
Johnson previously gave 'Knives Out' fans a taste of what to expect in the latest whodunnit. He posted on X: "I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is. There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.
