Jonathan Ross' ITV chat show has been wiped from the upcoming schedules. The chat show, which often sees the biggest names in entertainment such as One Direction , the Spice Girls and Billie Piper sit on the sofa, will not air this autumn. No new episodes of the programme will be airing in the coming months after a huge shake-up of the broadcasting schedule.
But this isn't the first time the show has faced a shake-up. Earlier this year, the programme aired in the early spring due to distributions from the Rugby World Cup. The shake-up ahead of the autumn months means that there will be no episodes of the Saturday night programme towards the end of the year.
Instead, the programme will return to the airwaves in 2025, according to The Sun . The news comes after reports that Jonathan, 63, is said to be "in talks" about a potential return to the BBC . Ross was once one of the corporation's biggest names, fronting Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and a BBC Radio 2 programme.
He left the Beebs in 2010 and has since fronted a variety of shows on ITV . It's however now rumoured that Jonathan - who briefly returned to the BBC radio station in 2014 to provide holiday cover for the late Steve Wright - is set to return again. He's said to be in talks for a celebrity version of the Traitors , seemingly to compete as a contestant.
The rumoured special edition of the show is yet to be announced by the BBC. An executive producer for production company Studio Lambert however teased earlier thi.
