Jonathan Ross is reportedly "in talks" for a "comeback" at the BBC in an upcoming reality TV spin-off following his departure from the broadcaster more than a decade ago. The presenter, 63, was once a big name at the BBC, having hosted his chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and his own BBC Radio 2 show for a number of years. He left in 2010 though and has since fronted various shows for ITV .

It's however now rumoured that Jonathan - who briefly returned to the BBC radio station in 2014 to provide holiday cover for the late Steve Wright - is set to return again. He's reportedly in talks for a celebrity version of the Traitors , seemingly to compete as a contestant. The rumoured special edition of the show is yet to be announced by the BBC.

An executive producer for production company Studio Lambert however teased earlier this year that it's "obviously a possibility". There's been further speculation about the prospect in the months since then. The Sun now reports that Jonathan is "in talks" to appear in the apparent spin-off.

A source told the outlet: "Jonathan is the ideal target for The Traitors producers because he's a high-profile celebrity who doesn't regularly appear on the reality TV circuit." They added: "He's also one of a small army of stars who are self-confessed fans of the show." It comes after Jonathan recently teased about a potential reality TV project on the Therapy Crouch podcast .

He said: "I'm still doing [my ITV] talk show. That's coming back next .
