TV legend made a shock discovery on the land of his new pub in the Cotswolds. The 64-year-old has reportedly paid “less than £1 million” for The Windmill near Burford in Oxfordshire. The former recently discovered that the pub has an interesting history revealing that it is built on a former hotspot for dogging.

And it seems some elements of its seedy past still remain as Jeremy appears to have stumbled across a lacy pair of knickers on the site this week. Jeremy posted a short clip on his this evening (Tuesday, July 9) sharing his shock revelation with his 8.3million followers.



In the video he says: "Tell me you bought a pub on a dogging site without telling me you bought a on a dogging site." In the video Jeremy can be seen holding up the black, lacy knickers with a twig, with a disgusted expression on his face. Unsurprisingly, in just over three hours the video has amassed over 110,000 likes and over 1,000 comments .

His fans saw the funny side, with one commenting: "Rename the pub The Inn", another wrote: "Bet that was left there as a cruel joke by James May", while a third said: "This is terrible! Please tell me the exact location, time and dates, so I know to avoid missing it." Renovations are to begin soon and Jeremy expects to be up and running by . Last week he teased an update in a post on saying: "New pub coming along.

Only the water, gas, lavatories, staff and electrics to sort and we'll be ready to go." The presenter is said to have bought the freehold to it.
