Adriana Harmeyer reflected on her upsetting loss. After the quiz whiz made it 15 consecutive games, which is the 11th longest run ever, she ended up by . She said: "He did what made sense on that Daily Double, and as soon as he made that bet, I knew if he missed it, but if he got that right, it could change things.
And he did, and that was impressive." She chatted with host on the Jeopardy! podcast, explaining where things went wrong. It wasn't only Drew's bold move that became a factor, but also her own exhaustion.
Ken said: "I wanna ask you about the possibility of fatigue. Viewers see one show every day, but if we were being honest about how Jeopardy! is taped, the last 13 games you played just within 72 hours of each other. Does that take a toll?" Adriana admitted that Ken was right; things weren't quite as easy as fans may think.
In fact, the Jeopardy! taping process is just as grueling as the game itself, if not more so. She further reflected on her loss to Drew. Ultimately, the fatigue likely contributed to her loss to Drew who is now on his own impressive undefeated run.
He has even secured himself a spot in the Tournament of Champions. Adriana isn't blaming it all on her exhaustion, though. One thing that Adriana noticed was that her buzzer speed was slower which can throw a major curveball into her game play.
"I can feel that I'm a little slower on the buzzer. My brain is taking longer to piece things together, yeah. Big factor," she explained.
