fans and alike were left confused as all three players one popular 2018 sci-fi horror film starring John Krasinski and Emily Blunt. During the season 40 episode, retired medical transcriptionist Steve Miller, digital scholarship librarian Abby Mann, and graduate student Amar Kakirde all took the stage as they showed off their knowledge in a variety of categories ranging from European history to famous boy bands. And while they impressed viewers with their wide-ranging knowledge, Ken couldn't hide the shock on his face as they all failed to guess the A Quiet Place.
During the Movies With Little Dialogue category, Ken asked the three players: "In this 2018 film, John Krasinski and his family are forced to use sign language to avoid being heard by blind creatures that hunt by sound" and was met with deafening silence from all three contestants with none of the players even attempted to take a guess. And while players were stumped by the question, Jeopardy! fans took to social media sharing their dismay as they missed the clue. In a Reddit discussion thread, one viewer joked: "Ken's reaction after 'a quiet place' was also my reaction.
" And another replied: "Indeed. Some of the triple stumpers triple stumped viewers. bc WHY.
" And a third shared their love for the movie and wrote: "A Quiet Place is a really good film. Highly recommend if you haven’t seen it." A Quiet Place premiered in theaters in April of 2018 and met with rave reviews from audiences grossing more than $340 mill.
