Jennifer Lopez recently discussed the possibility of filling Katy Perry's role on American Idol . During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! , Jennifer stated that she will not join the judging panel for season 23. But she is open to the idea in the future.

Jennifer, during her time on American Idol , played a crucial role in the discovery of talents like Scotty McCreery, Phillip Phillips, Caleb Johnson, Nick Fradiani, and Trent Harmon.

Speaking to Jimmy, Jennifer mentioned her current commitments to a tour and a new film project, emphasizing her packed schedule. "Not this year. Maybe next year," she reiterated, reflecting on her previous stint: "I don't know.
