Reggae artiste Jahbar I is currently working on the follow-up to his 2018 debut album, JAHBAR I DEHYA . The singjay shares production duty on his latest project with his father, Melbourne 'George' Miller, who is the drummer and leader of the legendary Firehouse Band. The album will feature collaborations with Tarrus Riley and Luciano.
"My father and I have been working on this project for a while now. So far, we've recorded some great tracks, and we have several more to go. We haven't decided on how many songs will be featured on the album as yet.
We haven't even selected a title for it, but I can assure my fans that it's going to be a great album," said the artiste. He's also focusing on the promotion of his single, titled Starz, featuring Riley. "We've been pushing this song since late last year and we're getting a lot of positive feedback about it from fans in various parts of the world, including Jamaica, Africa, Europe, the US, England, and Canada.
We're going to ramp up the promotion very soon with the release of a video," he said. Jahbar I recently delivered an impressive acoustic performance at the Reggae In Action concert at the Police Officers' Club in St Andrew. His set included songs from his debut album such as Like Lightning and Wipe Your Eyes .
"I had a wonderful time performing at the Reggae In Action concert. All the songs I performed were received positively by the audience. The fans showed me a lot of love," he said.
