This Morning presenter Alison Hammond has taken to social media to support her son Aidan after he shared pictures and videos of his recent time in hospital. The 19-year-old was taken in for a tonsillectomy. In one of the videos Aidan could be seen in a hospital bed as he explained that he had just had his tonsils taken out, but was "feeling good".

“Dunno what all the fuss is about really. It's fine," he said. Another clip featured a hospital worker showing Aidan a button to press if he needed anything.

ITV star Alison could be heard saying: "You don't need it right now. I'm here." Aidan started to look around the bed as his mum could be heard telling him to "just relax, darling".

I'm good," Alison's teenage son replied. In response a doctor could be heard saying: "If he was any more laid back he'd be head down,” and Alison started laughing. Another clip showed Aidan lying in the bed with his eyes closed as he hummed.

Alison began to giggle as her son asked: "Are you laughing at me?" The doting mum-of-one replied: "You're making me laugh, babe," before asking: "Is that helping you? Is it soothing?" Aidan didn't answer and he continued to hum. Sharing the videos to Instagram, Aidan captioned the post: "Aidan 1 - tonsils 0 and Me high as a [kite emoji]," to which Alison commented.
