Coronation Street fans believe newcomer Roscoe could have a sinister plan for Roy Cropper, after revealing his link to another character on the ITV soap. The character walked into Roy's prison cell during Wednesday's episode, claiming to be on his side. Amid Roy being banged up for Lauren Bolton's murder despite being innocent, he's kept to himself and hidden away in his cell.
On Wednesday newcomer Roscoe made his presence known, leaving Roy in fear as he ordered him to leave. But Roscoe claimed they had a mutual friend and that he was there to be an ally of his, at the request of someone else. Roscoe told Roy that he was an old friend of Roy's neighbour Stu Carpenter, and Stu had asked him to look out for Roy in prison.
Roy was touched by this and passed on his thanks to Stu, with Stu confirming Roscoe's story was correct. Taking to X, some fans predicted he could be secretly connected to former villain Griff who makes a return this week. Griff, who was a member of a far-right extremist group, is set to target Roy in prison over Lau.
