Amazon Prime's The Boys is known for its wild moments and epic plot twists, but one fan theory could blow minds better than Victoria Neuman, and it all revolves around Stan Edgar. The show is currently in its fourth season with the second to titled 'The Insider' released in the UK today (July 11). Fans have been eagerly awaiting this seventh episode after last week's dramatic reveal involving Billy Butcher ( ) and his no-nonsense sidekick Joe Kessler, brilliantly portrayed by Jeffrey Dean Morgan (no spoilers: if you know, you know).

But to get your head around this crazy fan theory, you'll need to think back to last season. Specifically season three, episode 2. The episode titled 'The Only Man in the Sky' followed Homelander's (Antony Starr) annual birthday celebrations at Vought.

During rehearsals for his birthday party, he insists Starlight (Erin Moriarty) sing him happy birthday and pushes for a more risque version. This is when Stan Edgar (Giancarlo Esposito) intervenes and halts the song, reminding Homelander that most viewers of his televised party will be "watching for Starlight", not him, reports . One fan has now proposed a theory as to why Stan intervened and it opens up a whole new world of possibilities.

They suggest that The Boys and are actually set in the same universe. An eagle-eyed fan has had a lightbulb moment while bingeing The Boys, revealing a wild theory during season 3 episode 2's cringe-worthy scene where Homelander tries to coax Starlight into singin.
