A few years ago, if you told me I'd be looking beyond my regular dentist - and even beyond Ireland - for getting major treatment, I probably would have said: "Thanks, but that's not for me." Even today, I would be very cautious about going abroad for any kind of medical treatment, we have all seen the dramatic stories of major mistakes made in places like Turkey, and when it comes to my teeth, I would be very risk-adverse.
