Imtiaz Ali is known for making movies that bring people from different backgrounds together with the use of its music, story, and overall themes. , , , , all were successful at doing the same. A while back, Imtiaz Ali was asked about his Muslim identity, and if he has ever faced any difficulties working in Bollywood because of it.

The interview happened back in 2019 where the director was asked, “Is it difficult for a man named Imtiaz Ali, or Khan, to work in the film industry these days?” Replying to the same, Imtiaz Ali said, “You’re saying I face difficulties because of my name?
