A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE has revealed that she refuses to spend more than £800 a month, and eats cat food instead of tuna, to save cash. Aimee Elizabeth, is worth more than £4 million, but refuses to waste a single penny. The 54-year-old only turns her water on for 20 minutes every day, and only has one knife, which she keeps in an otherwise completely empty drawer.
The Las Vegas native saves over £150,000 a year by refusing to buy anything new and scrimps wherever she can, even washing her dishes with a manky, falling apart sponge. She lives in a mansion, which was gifted to her by her ex-husband after they got divorced, as he said that she would move into a one-bedroom "hovel" if he didn't let her have it . Aimee saves money by having her ex do all her cleaning and gardening, which she said is like "free exercise" to him.
She even feeds her guests cat food instead of tuna, as this saves her 20p. The millionaire makes her money from managing rental properties and managing investments in a brokerage fund. She has to take regular business trips to LA, but drives her 1996 car instead of flying, to save cash on the trip.
Speaking to TLC's Extreme Cheapskates, Aimee said: "When I go to these extremes, I think it annoys people. "But I don't care, it saves money. "If you don't understand that, I don't know how to speak to you".
Aimee's ex-husband Michael added: "Aimee will never change her cheapskate ways. "It's just been ingrained into her life for so long". Aimee's money-saving way.
